Illustrative Type.

I am starting to look at illustrative type to give me some inspiration to give me some ideas for the Clothing logo i am going to produce with chris.
This piece was produced for Delaware state motto where artist were asked to illustrate there states motto.
I really like this drawing below, although it has a very american feel to it i think the letters flow beautifully together. the L at the start and Y at the end make a really attractive frame for the word.

I think when it has been taken into the computer it has lost some of its charm and seems to have less personality.
